What
is a Hothouse?
A Fitlock Hothouse is made out of reinforced ultraviolet-proof plastic, which
allows UV rays through and then traps the heat inside.
This keeps the ground warm, promoting easy growth of vegetables, flowers, plants
and even tropical fruit, all year round.
You don't have to worry about overheating either, as you can control the ventilation
through zippered doors at either end, plus the larger houses
have zippered ventilation flaps in the roof. Click here to

What is a Shadehouse?
A Fitlock Shadehouse provides a cool shady environment during hot summers, and
frost protection in winter.
Unlike the Hothouse, a Shadehouse's green knitted shade cloth keeps the heat
out, so ventilation flaps are not needed, and there is a door
at
one end.
Shadehouses are perfect for your delicates such as orchids, ferns and flowers,
and plants that don't like a lot of sun. You can also add a
waterproof roof to protect against excessive rain and heavy
frosts. Click here to order online. |
What
is a Combohouse?
If you require the benefits of both a Hothouse and a Shadehouse, you can combine
the two with a Combohouse.
It has a Shadehouse at one end and a Hothouse at the other, separated by a zippered
door to keep the two environments at different temperatures
- you can go 50/50, 70/30, whatever you need. Click here to
